What Are Bikes For?

I've not tried embedding a flickr slide show before, we'll see how it goes.

I have been working in my gardens today and stopped to snap a few photos. I'm trying to clean off some of the winter crud, and cutting back a few bushes. Anyway, this is all slightly related to biking.

Bikes are for being out in the world. For sun on your face during what otherwise would be a soulless commute in a metal box. For seeing the flowers and hearing the birds and sensing and hearing the breezes.

For enjoying this Earth we only get to borrow for a short time. Today, in early spring, it seems like a good place.
