CR Joe: My name is Joe Sheller. I am a professor at Mount Mercy University in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. I've been biking since my dad bought me a one-speed Schwinn for my 8th birthday in 1966. I was a journalist before becoming a professor, and yet I still think of myself as a loyal American. Go figure.
